Even though Jeremy Renner is back after recovery, he’s still facing challenges on sets that put his acting career in doubt. In an interview with People, the Arrival star mentioned the uncertainty about his acting career and adopting the “step by step” method after his return.
“I don’t know if I’m looking forward to it. Again, I try to just do everything kind of step by step here. That’s one foot in front of the other one. Then you’re walking.”
Renner is excited about starting his work again, but due to a lack of confidence, he’s being cautious and taking things slow. The actor added:
“I think I’m excited when I’m there and I get in a rhythm there. I’m excited about the character and, of course, all the people involved and all that in the storyline, but for me, I’m just tentative of confidence in work.”
The Hansel and Gretel star is “scared of slipping and falling” as his lower body hasn’t completely recovered yet. Renner also describes the filming of the Mayor of Kingstown as “arduous” since it requires shooting in extreme cold ether outside Pittsburgh.

Jeremy Renner made his remarkable comeback to acting after almost a year with the release of his latest EP, Love and Titanium. Not only did he share the EP, but he also shared an emotional behind-the-scenes video on YouTube. The video includes Renner talking about change, and despite the haunting accident, he remains hopeful about his career and life.
“I don’t think that the core of any of who I am has changed at all. I don’t even think the principles of, like, what I’ve always wanted in my life have changed at all.”
The actor explained that the core of his personality and life principles haven’t changed at all and emphasized being himself. Renner added:
“So the only thing that’s really shifted, to be honest, for me … is accepting being seen and witnessed for who I am as a man, as a father, as a brother. It’s a powerful love and it’s overwhelming.”
The Neo Ned star also mentioned his perspective on seeing things positively in life. He’s grateful for the love and care he received, which Renner believed never existed. Despite every challenge, Jeremy Renner feels strong and is excited about what the future holds for him.
