Back in January, MCU actor Jeremy Renner appeared in a Super Bowl commercial for Silk in which he starred with his daughter. The actor was seen dancing and doing roundhouse kicks in the kitchen while preparing breakfast for his daughter. In the background, viewers could hear James Brown’s iconic I Got You (I Feel Good) music.
It was revealed that for the commercial, the actor had performed his stunts, which included leaping onto the counter and kicking the cap off a jug. The commercial became one of the most talked about commercials from Super Bowl as it marked an essential landmark for the actor following his accident in January 2023. Jeremy Renner survived a 14300-pound snowplow running over his lower body, which gave him several orthopaedic injuries.
According to CNN, the actor had revealed that he was not sure if he could perform his stunts, and they had a stuntman on deck, but luckily he was able to pull it off. Renner, during his conversation with People while on the set of the commercial, admitted that he is a little scared to return to work on Paramount+. He added.
“I don’t know if I am looking forward to it. Again, I try to just do everything kind of step by step here. That’s one foot in front of the other. Then you’re walking.”
Jeremy Renner plays Mike McLusky on the show and noted that he is excited about the character and everyone who is involved in the people. He mentioned that he’s just tentative about his confidence in work.

In his conversation with People, the actor shared that the show is taxing as it requires about 14–18 hours of working outside Pittsburgh, where it’s freezing.
Renner, whose lower body was crushed under the snowplow, revealed that his health added a lot of stress to the situation where he was filming in a freezing environment. The actor noted that he is scared of slipping and falling since he does not have lower body strength like he did before the accident.
In his interview with THR, the actor spoke about his accident and shared that there is a wonderful gift in dying and coming back to life. The incident made him realize the value of life.
“Doing television is quite arduous. It’s long hours and a lot of heavy lifting. So, I’m just focusing on this right now and will see how I come out at the end of it.”
Renner said at the time that his top priority was to recover and recover his strength. The actor added that he is allowing his body to always dictate what he can and cannot do in life. Renner also revealed that no one told him that he’d make it, pointing out that everyone was communicating with his family, which he said must have been pretty bleak.
Season 3 of Mayor of Kingstown will premiere on June 3, 2024, on Paramount+.
