All that glitters is not gold, and it looks like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are finding that out the hard way. The couple reunited after almost two decades, and it looked as dreamy as any romance classic where star-crossed lovers find their way back to each other, no matter how many years pass. The two got hitched twice this year, and their PDA kept hitting the tabloids left, right, and center.
But now it’s been some months, and it seems like the spark is already wearing off. The chemistry is amiss in their public appearances. There was a time when they couldn’t keep their hands off of one another but during their recent outing, it looked as if they couldn’t wait to get it over with, especially Ben Affleck, whose frustration was crystal clear.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s dream home?
News of the newlyweds looking for their dream home has been hitting the streets for almost a month now. They have been selling their old properties and trying to find the perfect abode to start their new life together. However, now it has been reported by TMZ that instead of settling in a new home they have instead decided to move into JLo’s stunning $28 million Bel-Air mansion, which she bought in 2016.
The mansion is currently being renovated, and as per reports, it will take time – as renovations usually do. The home will probably not be ready to move in until the latter half of next year. Meanwhile, the couple is currently residing in a rental property in Beverly Hills.
Bennifer visited the Bel-Air mansion recently to check on the progress of the renovation, and the paparazzi photos don’t paint a pretty picture. The supposedly glam couple looked unusually serious and there was not a single smile in sight. Reports suggest the fresh marital bliss is slowly wearing off and it does not feel like a fairytale anymore.
Trouble in paradise
Sources close to the couple have revealed that things aren’t very hunky dory anymore. Blended families are hard to handle and their individually successful and therefore busy careers are also a big impediment. An insider shared, “They’re back to the grind of work and parenting. Reality has set in.”
Another source brought several details to light. Bennifer’s compatibility seems to be hanging by a loose thread. The insider said, “Marital bliss? More like marital mayhem! Before the wedding, Jennifer put on an Oscar-worthy performance for Ben, pretending to be the perfect, easygoing wife-to-be.” They further added that Affleck was “blinded by love,” but “he didn’t realize what he was getting into.”
According to the same source, Jennifer Lopez has a problem with Affleck’s dressing sense, his smoking habits, and his sloppiness too. She even reportedly cleared out her husband’s precious motorbike collection without his knowledge. A source added, “She’s been known to yell at him and point her finger. It makes people wonder if she mistakes him for the dog!”
According to reports, Lopez’s busy work schedule is another bummer for Ben Affleck. A source said, “She had him fooled for a while, but Ben’s realizing Jennifer is as career-driven as she ever was.” They further added that JLo’s work ethic had “blown away” Affleck, who was “disappointed” when she chose to stay behind in Europe for work. “It was a huge wake-up call for him,” according to the insider.
However, the biggest issue in the marriage has been managing their blended family. An insider shared, “keeping everyone happy at the same time has been near impossible.” Affleck shares 3 kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner -Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10. Whereas Lopez has 14-year-old twins with her third husband, Marc Anthony – Emme and Max. As parents, the kids must be their first priority and it seems that with the disbalance in their work and life spheres, managing the family has turned out to be a real task.
