John Krasinski Almost Got into Serious Trouble with a Customs Officer Simply Because of His Role as Jim Halpert
John Krasinski is most famously known for playing the beloved role of Jim Halpert in The Office (US). While he is a handsome hunk and can charm his way into anywhere, including the heart of the gorgeous Emily Blunt, he could not do so one particular time, when he was stuck at the customs. In fact, his role in The Office became a matter of serious trouble with one British customs officer who was not kind to him.
John Krasinski Angered London Customs Agent By Being In The Office (US)
While stopping by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, John Krasinski opened up about his less-than-pleasant experience with British customs one time. The experience not only made him nervous but also humbled him by reminding him that he married above himself.
The actor took a trip to the UK recently at that time and he was stuck in customs. While everything was going smoothly, he felt like there was one guy with a brooding face who was “ready to get a little surly” with him. Well, he was not wrong.
As soon as he handed over his documents, the man glanced at them and then asked him to confirm whether he was an actor. When John Krasinski said yes, his interest piqued, and he inquisitively asked whether he had seen him in anything. That is when Krasinski said he had been in the US version of The Office.
“He said, ‘It says here that you’re an actor. Would I know you from anything?’ And I went, ‘You know, we redid the U.K. version of The Office.’ Strike one! He was like, ‘Oh, you took what we did, perfect.’”

However, things took a turn for the worse when Krasinski revealed who he was married to.
“And then he says, ‘Who are you visiting here?’ And I was like, ‘My wife. He says, ‘Oh, is she an actress? Would I know her?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know man, her name’s Emily Blunt.’ And he goes like this, ‘You? You married Emily Blunt? Go. Just go.’”
Needless to say, the customs agent made sure that his ego did not ride too high from pulling off writing, directing, and acting in the brilliant movie A Quiet Place.
John Krasinski Revealed Getting Fired From Nine Jobs Before The Office Became A Hit
John Krasinski is one of Hollywood’s biggest A-listers now, thanks to the success of The Office, which made him a household name. He has also expanded into writing and directing some of the biggest blockbusters in Hollywood and gained critical admiration as well. Time named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018.
Imagine everyone’s surprise when he appeared in the famous WIRED Autocomplete Interview, where he let loose on the fact that he may not have been an ideal employee outside his acting career. When asked, “Where was John Krasisnki a waiter?” he replied in his hilarious brand “Anywhere that would have me. I was fired from nine different jobs while pursuing acting. But not just waiting jobs. Oh no, it wasn’t just the restaurant business that said no. I worked at a yoga studio.”
He also apparently pursued real estate business illegally, which got him into a bunch of trouble. He is still reportedly being followed by lawyers for that.
