Despite all the new allegations, Johnny Depp is “excited” to be directing Modigliani. Recently, a leaked document from the Amber Heard vs Johnny Depp case revealed a lot of information that points fingers at Johnny Depp. It accused the actor of manipulating the audio and photos he presented in court and even included Ellen Barkin’s testimony. However, the actor is unbothered as he is really looking forward to taking the director’s chair first time in 25 years.
Sources say that Johnny Depp is not worried about the new allegations
Reports say Johnny Depp is very excited as to direct Modigliani. A source stated,
“Although he’s been filming other projects and working on his music, directing is something he’s wanted to get back into for a very long time now. He knows that Amber is still working to appeal the verdict, but he’s trying to not worry about that too much. He wholeheartedly trusts his legal team and knows they’ll do everything in their power to fight for him.”
The source made it clear that he trusts his legal team will sort out everything for him.
The actor is excited to make films
The source also said that the actor is focusing on his ongoing projects rather than the legal battle. They said,
“He’s so grateful that he’s been able to put all his focus into his passion of making music and working on films again. He couldn’t be more excited to be reuniting with Al Pacino on Modigliani (Modi) and he’s hopeful it’s going to be a huge success. Johnny feels so privileged to be working on this film and it really does feel like the perfect project for him.
The actor won the defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard and was awarded $10.4 million in damages. However, new information has surfaced on social media that released new information accusing Depp.
The actor relates to the main character of the movie
A source also revealed that the actor relates to Modigliani’s life and that is one of the main reasons why he is “thrilled” to work on the film. The insider said,
“Johnny can relate to several aspects of Modigliani’s life, not only because of his love of painting, but also because he, too, has faced several misfortunes in his life which he was eventually able to overcome and triumph in the end.”
Modigliani follows the life story of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani and is based on the play by Dennis McIntyre. It portrays a pivotal time of the artist’s life in 1916 Paris. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor can’t wait for his fans to see the finished product.
