One of these reveals stated that Johnny Galecki discussed leaving the show with Kaley Cuoco. According to sources, this was a few years before the show eventually ended after season 12 of the series. Galecki allegedly discussed leaving the show with Kaley Cuoco during the filming of season 10 of the series. However, he did not go through with his plan to leave the show. Jim Parsons, however, did take on that role a few years down the line and became the reason for the end of The Big Bang Theory.
Johnny Galecki did not take the news of Jim Parsons leaving the show well
Galecki and Jim Parsons played the role of best friends and roommates on the show. However, as the show came to an end, the duo developed a close bond with each other. That is why, Galecki initially did not take the news of Parsons leaving the show well. Although he did understand that the show could not continue any further, the actor was not happy with the way the situation was handled. According to sources, Galecki expected at least a warning from Parsons before he dropped the news on the team.
Parsons’s decision to leave the show so abruptly shocked Galecki and he did not know how to respond to this. Johnny Galecki revealed that everyone started sobbing when they realized that the show was coming to an end. He said, “We were just blindsided that day. And not necessarily shocked by Jim’s decision, but that he hadn’t had that conversation with his castmates first to prepare us.”
The cast did spend almost 12 years together day in and day out while filming for the show. So, it really hurt Galecki when Parsons did not discuss the topic of him leaving the show before his announcement.
