Kanye West’s unaccredited private school Donda has been sued for safety and health violations. There are a lot of strange and unusual things happening at Donda. West founded the school in 2022 and named it after his mother, Donda, an American educator and author.

Ye imposed bizarre and strange rules on the students, which are reportedly dangerous for the Donda Academy students. Ye made a bunch of rules according to him and his fears and preferences. The Donda Academy is being sued by its two former employees.

Donda Academy only serves Sushi to their students

One of the strangest things going on at Kanye West’s Donda Academy is that students are only given one sushi meal per day as per sources. Outside food or beverages are not allowed in the academy. The students are not allowed to use forks or any other utensils. It’s not just the food that is the problem at West’s Donda Academy but also the set of rules he has made for the children and the teachers.  According to reports, neither teachers nor students are permitted to use chairs. They must stand or use stools and foam cushions.

As West as fear of stairs, the students are banned to use the second floor of the Donda Academy. Another shocking revelation is that the Academy reportedly doesn’t have a nurse or a caretaker as well. There are no trash cans accessible, and medications were stored away with no monitoring over expiration dates.

 Reportedly the students are only allowed to wear black colour clothes or uniforms which are designed by West himself. Clothes, shoes or any accessories from Nike or Adidas are banned at Donda Academy.  During the school day, the students are also allegedly locked in from the outside.

Numerous bullying cases have also been reported in the Academy but no actions were taken. Based on the reports there is a lack of discipline in the Academy which is harmful to the kids studying in the school. This complaint was brought by two former Donda Academy employees. The two teachers were fired after threatening the Academy with exposing their unusual and bizarre school practices, which also included many hazardous and unhygienic practices.

The attorney of the two teachers stated that, 

Kanye West is clearly as bad at running a school as he is at managing his own personal and professional life, enabling an unsafe and illegal school environment for students.” 

The attorney further said, 

“Kanye needs to realize his genius is in creating music, not in school administration.”

After this news broke, the Flashing Lights singer received backlash on the internet. The Academy is said to provide “a world-class education” to students from pre-K to 12th grade and costs $15,000 per year. Parents who want to enrol their children in Donda Academy, which is West’s newly opened school, were reportedly required to sign NDAs.
