It all started when Pusha-T took digs at Drake on Kanye West’s Daytona. Drake subsequently retaliated with his own diss tune, Duppy Freestyle, aimed at both Pusha-T and Kanye. Pusha-T responded with The Story of Adidon, in which he revealed Drake’s hidden child, which was eventually confirmed on Scorpion. Drake never retaliated with another diss track, but rumors circulated that he was working on a career-ending single that he refused to release.

People theorized that Drake’s possibly-fake career-ending diss rap contained a romance between himself and Kim Kardashian. Some fans believe Kim is the Kiki mentioned by Drake at the start of In My Feelings. The essence is that Drake had been slipping down the street to have an affair with Kim in order to get back at Kanye.

Drake was sneaking down the street to have an affair with Kim to retaliate against Ye?

The premise is that Drake was slipping down the street to have an affair with Kim in order to retaliate against Kanye. Drake uses references to your wifey (in a style similar to Kanye’s Runaway), as well as other lines about him physically strolling down the street to have a covert meeting with someone.

Another clue was discovered in Drake’s collaboration with Travis Scott (Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend), Sicko Mode, in which the Toronto rapper says, “I crept down the block / Made a right / Cut the lights / Paid the price.” Those are the directions from Drake’s residence to Kim and Kanye’s, according to the idea.

And, indeed, Drake and the Kardashian-Wests reside next door to one another. Kim flatly disputed the claims, and West claimed that everything between him and Drake is OK. And West took to Twitter to address the situation.

Kim Kardashian responds to Drake on Twitter

Many of the tweets came only hours after Drake teased a single with shots that looked to be targeted squarely at West. Drake raps in “No Stylist,” “I told her don’t wear no 350s around me.” A month after their brief feud, Pusha-T said that he learned about Drake’s child’s existence not through Kanye, but via Drake’s own producer Noah 40 Shebib. Shortly after that revelation, a group of concertgoers attempted to approach Pusha-T onstage in Drake’s hometown of Toronto. Pusha alleged that Drake had paid men to assault him when he returned to the stage unhurt.

Kim Kardashian West even got involved in the fight, urging Drake not to hurt her family. Drake has yet to reply directly to any of this, other than an Instagram story with five laughing emojis uploaded immediately after supposedly calling West. But it’s all a positive sign that the biggest hip-hop feud of 2018 will continue into 2023.
