Hahn has now expressed her interest in bringing the character of the cunning and theatrical Mother Gothel to life in a live-action adaptation of the movie, should it ever happen. It would be interesting to see the actress take up that role although there is no telling when it will happen.

Kathryn Hahn began acting professionally in the late 1990s. She had supporting roles in the romantic comedies How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Holiday, and A Lot like Love. She did many other supporting roles before she landed her first leading role in the comedy-drama film Afternoon Delight, which turned out to be her breakthrough in Hollywood.

While Hahn continued to work in movies and shows, she did not gain international recognition until she joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Agatha Harkness in the Disney+ show WandaVision. Her character got a spinoff show and it worked wonders in her favor. It would be fair to say that she reached new levels of stardom overnight.

Impressed with her portrayal of Agatha, fans on X began campaigning for her to play the role of Mother Gothel.

Recently, Entertainment Tonight‘s Denny Directo told Hahn about this fan-casting during the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Luncheon in Beverly Hills. The actress was flattered to learn about this and expressed her excitement, saying: “I mean I’m really good at karaoke.”

Hahn also said she was shocked to learn that Agatha All Along was not submitted to the limited series category. She is nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy. For the longest time, people assumed that it was a limited series, so it came as a surprise to many, including Hahn herself, by the looks of it.

The Mrs. Fletcher actress got her first Golden Globe nomination at 51 despite how long she has been in the industry. Her performance as Agatha in the Marvel series has won millions of hearts, so it seems only fair that the studio renews it for a second season. After all, she has earned the superhero franchise recognition from a major award show in the acting category.

In a recent interview with Deadline, she reflected on the fact that the show’s finale was the perfect farewell to the characters’ arc. However, she is also very keen to return as Agatha.

I think I meant that we were very satisfied by the way that Agatha All Along ended the arc of that story being told there. I think everyone would be thrilled to come back, of course, in any capacity. It was a very life-altering, deep experience in Atlanta, Georgia, with just this very small cast on the soundstage, day after day after day.

While this is not necessarily a confirmation that a second season is in production, it might only be a matter of time before it is officially announced. Hopefully, the wait will not be too long for the fans.
