While on Rob Lowe’s podcast, Bacon talked about destroying a haunted house on his farm, which he bought in 1983.
Kevin Bacon revealed he was prevented from buying the adjacent plot until he agreed with the contractual terms. Despite all being said, the owner remained hesitant to part with the property. According to Bacon (via Literally! With Rob Lowe), the owner said:
“’I can’t sell it to you because it’s haunted and I’m afraid that you’ll get possessed and, you know, do some serious damage.'”
It was after a lot of consideration that Kevin Bacon finally came to the contractual agreement to destroy the house within one month after he purchased it. He then followed the terms and came to peace that to have it all is not possible.
Kevin Bacon Did Not See Any Ghosts
While talking about the spooky house, a supernatural expert, Lowe, interrupted Bacon to ask if the latter had spent a night in the house. Bacon replied that not only did he do that but also he went there and found some amazing old pine boards and the banister. He asked his wife Kyra Sedgwick to take it out, but she didn’t agree to it. She was not willing to put those in their house.

Going ahead, Bacon even talked about the story the owner told him about the house. While talking to Rob Lowe on Literally! With Rob Lowe, Kevin Bacon said:
“It was a long story that had to do with a Native American who, in the 1700s, had been murdered by a colonial soldier. [The owner] had had ghostbusters there. It was a whole long thing.”
Eventually, Bacon might have acquired the place, the land, but he, to date, has not seen any kind of supernatural activity there. Hearing Bacon, Lowe, who claimed to have talked to the real ghost once when he was filming with his sons, The Lowe Files, started to talk about his supernatural experiences. Bacon joked that he wished he kept the house up as it would have given a great episode to Lowe.
