Marvel Cinematic Universe has made a name for itself after the premiere of Iron Man, which is almost a decade old. The hardworking producer Kevin Feige has seen the rise of Marvel since the release of the X-Men movie in 1999. However, turns out Kevin Feige is trying to find time from his busy schedule to focus on the production of a new Star Wars movie. You heard that right? Kevin is currently working with Lucasfilm and Kathleen Kennedy to create a brand new project. Just when you think this is the final episode, you get the news of a new film in the works.

It turns out Feige is finally speaking out on his work in the Star Wars franchise. He finally addresses his trip to a galaxy far, far away. During an interview with the Awards Chatter podcast for The Hollywood Reporter, Feige reveals, “I love that word, and I love the notion of exploring new people and new places in that universe. But that’s all that can be said for now.”

Kevin spoke about the theory of “Star Wars fatigue” and the franchise. The franchise has been a fan-favorite and a success. So, Feige doesn’t quite agree with the fact that the Star Wars movies have worn out their welcome with audiences. Kevin says, “Well, they’ve made about five movies in about five years, and it’s made over five billion dollars, so I think they’re doing just fine with Star Wars. And Rise of Skywalker looks incredible to me”.

Walt Disney Pictures Chairman Alan Horn stated Feige’s involvement, praising a new era of collaboration among Disney’s different film branches.

Alan says, “We are excited about the projects Kathleen and the Lucasfilm team are working on, not only in terms of Star Wars but also Indiana Jones and reaching into other parts of the company including Children of Blood and Bone with Emma Watts and Fox. With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy is pursuing a new era in  storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together.”
