Kevin Feige Reportedly Personally Overseeing New X-Men Project for Seamless Grafting into the MCU
In recent updates, reports have been around that the highly awaited X-Men movie is officially under production with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige personally overseeing the project. Reports suggest that Feige will be working on this project this time to ensure seamless grafting of the movie under MCU. In the light of recent deal between the Writers Guild and studios, this new update on the franchises has sparked excitement among the fans.
Kevin Feige Will Be Overseeing New X-Men Project
Reports have been around that the well-known franchises of X-Men will now be returning with a new project under the leadership of Kevin Feige. For years now fans have been eagerly waiting for a new X-Men project and this news has rather excited the fans across the globe.
Even though there is still a lot more time for the movie to make its way to the theaters, reports have been around that Marvel has started the development of the live-action pic. Since Disney acquired the 20th Century Fox and its library in 2019, fans have been eagerly waiting for a new movie in the X-Men franchise.
The X-Men franchise has been one of the most profitable films for Marvel IP and in the wake of ongoing news that a deal is in place between the Writers Guild and Studios, sources told Deadline that Marvel will start setting writer meetings later this fall for pitcher on its anticipated X-Men movie.
These reports also confirm that Marvel Studio’s president Kevin Feige will be overseeing the project to ensure seamless grafting of the project. Also, reports suggest that Marvel is already toe-dipping into the X-Men world with a throwback to the classic 90s animated series. This animated X-Men 97 will debut in early 2024 on Disney +.
WGA & AMPTP Closed an Agreement to End Writers Strikes
After almost 148 days of strikes, WGA and AMPTP have finally closed an agreement to end the strikes. Both parties were able to make the deal after five days of long negotiations.
As reported by CNBC, the contract states the writers will get 50% pay upon commencement; 25% pay 9
weeks after commencement, upon invoice; and 25% on delivery. Apart from this, there were many other terms that both the parties have agreed upon. Talking about this HBO’s The Other Two series writer Dylan Guerra said, “I feel like we’re entering into a new era, we managed to get what we needed and what we wanted”.
As the strikes finally come to an end, a lot of studios are now looking forward to kick-starting their halted projects.
