Kevin Spacey Declared Not Guilty in His Sexual Assault Charges, Says He Is Humbled After Potential End to His Acting Career
Kevin Spacey is one of the finest actors in the entertainment industry. The actor had a brilliant career in acting and bagged various awards. Spacey, raised by an abusive father and was born in New Jersey, overcame his upbringing to become a legendary star of the big screen, starring in such films as Seven and LA Confidential. However, the actor’s career took a turn when he was accused of s*xual assault.
Over the last five years, the 64-year-old has been accused of s*xual misconduct. After an internal inquiry was finished at London’s Old Vic Theatre, where the Hollywood star worked as artistic director from 2004 to 2015, 20 former theatre employees and actors accused Kevin Spacey of wrongdoing. However, the verdict against the actor found him not guilty of the offenses.

Kevin Spacey found not guilty for s*xual offense charges
American actor Kevin Spacey has been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. The actor was accused of s*xual assault by multiple men over the previous five years. The initial claims against Spacey were brought in 2017 after an actor named Anthony Rapp said that Spacey had made a s*xual advance towards him when he was just 14 years old.
However, the 64-year-old actor was found not guilty by jurors at Southwark Crown Court for nine s*xual offense charges relating to four men between 2001 and 2013. The Oscar-winning actor broke down in tears as the verdict was read out. He was unable to control his emotions.
Following the ruling, Spacey spoke to the media. He said,
“I am humbled by the outcome. I imagine that many of you can understand that there’s a lot for me to process after what has just happened today.”
The House of Cards actor further said he was grateful to the jury and thanked them for their deliberations. He went on to thank the staff inside this courthouse, the security, and his legal team. Although Kevin Spacey is cleared of the charges, his acting career is majorly affected by these allegations.

Before the bombshell s*x offense allegations that Kevin Spacey was the target of six years ago, he had a bright career in acting. The Hollywood actor was at the height of his powers, having won two Oscars for his roles in American Beauty and The Usual Suspects. His once-glamourous career suddenly plunged into freefall.
The 64-year-old endured the humiliation of being fired from the popular Netflix series House of Cards and having his appearance in the Sir Ridley Scott film All The Money in the World cut. As the Negotiator star has been found not guilty of the accusations, he has a long road and challenge of rebuilding his acting career.
KJ Yossman a journalist spoke about the actor’s acting career and said,
“I think in the interim he will try and pick up work where he is embraced, and welcomed with open arms. That’s probably going to be Europe. I think the big question will be if he’s able to pick up work in America, his homeland.”
Kevin Spacey began his acting career on the stage before making successful forays into cinema and television. He got his first Academy Award for best supporting actor in 1996 for his role as Roger ‘Verbal’ Kint in the mystery thriller The Usual Suspects.
While the not guilty decision is a huge win for Spacey, will it influence public opinion is a matter of question as the actor will try to pick up his acting career.
