Kirsten Dunst refutes rumors that she will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Spider-Man: No Way Home is the next film in the MCU’s release schedule, after Eternals. The film, which is set to hit cinemas next month, will be the third and maybe last MCU standalone feature based on the iconic web-slinger. However, in a recent interview with Total Film (via The Direct), Dunst debunked speculations that she’ll star in the MCU film. She stated: “I’m not in that movie, no [laughs]. I know there are rumors, right?… No, I’m the only one [not in it]. ‘Can’t put an old girl in there!”
This is a common occurrence for No Way Home’s alleged cast members. Emma Stone, who played Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man, and Andrew Garfield have both announced that they will not be appearing in the film. In fact, Garfield’s declaration that he has no role in Spider-Man: No Way Home has sparked a broader debate about whether fans would be dissatisfied by the final result. It’s reasonable for Marvel performers to keep their impending parts under wraps in order to avoid spoilers, but this film has been a whole new beast for MCU secrecy.
