Krysten Ritter Ready To Play Jessica Jones The Moment Marvel Tells Her To
Krysten Ritters is all in to portray Jessica Jones again if Marvel Studios invites her into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The actor played the role of the comic book hero and private investigator for three seasons on Netflix from 2015 to 2019 and additionally also co-starred on the team- up series called The Defenders along with the other heroes from the street- level Marvel shows. The streaming service was doing some phenomenal work at the behest of Marvel Studios but eventually cancelled all the series. But Krysten Ritter is ready for a comeback.
In a recent interview Krysten mentioned, “I would absolutely just die to play Jessica again.” She went on to add, “I had the best time doing it and I just love her so much. I’m so proud of that character. Not only because it was like a great role and she’s such a bad-ass, but that character has really resonated with people in a way that I don’t know who else has. Really, really resonated with women and girls, trauma survivors. It’s just so, so big and such a thing I’m so grateful to have been a part of. So if there’s ever an opportunity for me to put on those boots, I will be there in a flash.”
While many “Marvel” Shows on Netflix were praised by critics, especially Daredevil, The Punisher and Jessica Jones, it was believed that they were ultimately cancelled and the credit for the same goes to the rollout of Disney+ and the plan to make movie- level TV shows set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But with Krysten Ritter along with some other actors received high praises and there have been numerous rumors of their returns.
The Netflix shows along with ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter were presumed to exist in the MCU. In fact, the shows have even given the references to the events of the movies.
In the Netflix universe, the Battle of New York and the Avengers are all alluded to though in vague ways. But with the support of Marvel Television and the birth of the Disney+ MCU shows, the pervious TV series are not recognised.
