Landlord Who Sued Lil Nas X for $1M after Wild Party Damaged His Property Allegedly Attended the Event Himself, Took Pictures With Him
American rapper, singer, and composer Lil Nas X has a net worth of $7 million. His chart-topping hits include Montero and Old Town Road. The rapper is renowned for his sharp comments on social networking sites, particularly Twitter. He received several honors for his talent while he was only 23 years old, including two Grammys. In 2019, the performer came out as gay. At the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, where he won prizes for Best Music Video and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, he had the most nominations than any male artist.
In addition, he is the first openly gay Black musician to receive a Country Music Association honor. Lil Nas X, an infamous rule-breaker, has been implicated in a significant lawsuit about a house party he had in Hollywood. DJ Zedd was at the party with the Old Town Road singer and is said to have brought his mixing abilities.
A hefty lawsuit names Lil Nas X as a defendant
The notorious rule-breaker Lil Nas X has been charged in a large lawsuit related to a home party he had in Hollywood. Along with the Old Town Road vocalist, DJ Zedd is claimed to have contributed his mixing skills to the event. Despite explicit lease restrictions prohibiting having large gatherings, the rager ultimately had close to 1,000 visitors. Lil Nas X’s 2022 Hollywood Hills Mansion landlord, Daniel Fitzgerald, is currently suing the DJ and the rapper for property damage.
Daniel Fitzgerald is suing the DJ and the rapper
Fitzgerald allegedly insisted on making his no-party policy plain when the rapper originally signed the lease, according to KTLA. Over $25,000 in damages were caused by breaking the restrictions, in addition to the additional $40,000 in costly repairs. Fitzgerald obviously disagrees with his tenant’s decisions and is currently dealing with the fallout from the rager.
Zedd and Lil Nas X are reportedly said to have received $250,000 apiece for hosting the party. Fitzgerald is seeking $1 million in total compensation from the party’s sponsors and promoters as well.

Both Lil Nas X and Zedd are moving forward with their lives unaffected
Although neither defendant has responded to the complaint, it is reasonable to presume that they are moving forward with their lives unaffected. This year’s major events will include Zedd and Lil Nas X, while the German-Russian DJ just sold his home for more than $18 million. Fitzgerald’s compensation may not be paid in full, although that is uncertain.
According to recent reports, Fitzgerald himself was present at the party and even clicked pictures at the event with the celebrities. This might add a new angle to the entire lawsuit if the claims hold any substance. The landlord might lose the case if the picture were to really surface.
