There has been no lack of compliments for Seacrest. The mother of three has never lost the opportunity to praise Seacrest and has even called him a “best friend”. Unfortunately, the radio personality has decided to leave the show after careful consideration.
Ryan Seacrest Made A Mistake While Hosting Causing A long Delay
There is no question that Ryan Seacrest is one of the best and most popular tv hosts out there. However, just like any human, he once made a major mistake that led to the shutting down of the show he was hosting. Kelly Ripa shared the incident that happened in the past.
The two had been co-hosting Ripa’s game show Generation Gap. But to her surprise and his own most likely, Seacrest read something from his card that he was not supposed to. In the game, he had to read aloud “This is American” and then a blank was supposed to follow. However, he accidentally read the whole thing by adding the last word “Idol”. This was supposed to be the answer to the question. Chaos followed, and the show had to be shut off for a long time. And not only that, but even lawyers had to come in between.
Ripa told People,
“I knew already the horror of the lawyers, and once the lawyers come out, everything shuts down for 45 minutes.”
According to her, the radio personality had been nervous, therefore it resulted in a simple but major blunder. The two later laughed the situation off according to Ripa.
Why Is He Leaving ABC’s Live?
Recently, Ryan Seacrest announced he was exiting ABC’s morning Show Live as a co-host. He started back in 2017 after replacing Michael Strahan. And his co-host Kelly Ripa has mentioned that Seacrest was one the best co-host she had. However, after six seasons, He finally decided to depart from the show. The radio personality shared that he arrived at the decision with the help of Ripa. He had been contemplating it for a long time. Therefore, there had been no hurry while making the decision. Seacrest also mentioned his future endeavor of hosting American Idol. Following that, it was announced that Ripa’s husband Mark Consuelos will replace Seacrest as a co-host.
