The matriarch of the Hadid family, Yolanda Hadid, recently responded to a viral TikTok video that exposed her for being the bad parent she is. She raised two supermodel daughters Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, and according to the aforementioned viral video, she was a terrible parent that mistreated her daughters. The viral video leveled several disturbing allegations against Yolanda Hadid who has now responded by uploading a video of her own.
Viral TikTok Video Levels Serious Alligations on Gigi Hadid’s Mother
Earlier this year, TikTok user @pattypopculture claimed that Yolanda Hadid had allegedly starved her daughters Gigi and Bella Hadid to advance their modeling careers. Leveling allegations of mistreatment, the influencer further said: “[She] made sure they never ate anything too calorie-dense, not even cake on their birthday,” Old clippings of videos were added where Yolanda Hadid is seen saying to Gigi: “It’s hard to not eat any sugar, and it’s hard to have to eat salad every day,” In another clip, Gigi Hadid is seen saying to her mother: “I’m feeling really weak. I had, like, half an almond.” to which her mother replies: “Have a couple of almonds. Chew them really well.” The same reflects poorly on Yolanda Hadid as a mother.
Yolanda Hadid Responds:
In response to the viral TikTok video, the Hadid family matriarch, Yolanda Hadid posted a video of her own where she is seen jokingly calling herself the “worst mom ever“. The video shows her eating almonds in different places and has Rosalia’s “Bizcochito” as the background music. Earlier, defending her parenting, Yolanda Hadid told Fashion Week Daily:
“I am a protective Dutch momma bear and the anchor that keeps our family together. I have always strived to be the best that I can be and lead by example. My relationship with my children is based on consistency, trust and loyalty,”
“I have always tried to nurture and understand the uniqueness of each child. I don’t believe in having one parenting style that fits one for all. I learned early on that I had to adjust my mothering style to their individual needs.”
While modeling is certainly hard, unhealthy practices and starving are harmful.
