The Loki series is one of the standout releases in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series follows the events after Avengers: Infinity War, where the character was pushed to work for the Time Variance Authority as compensation for manipulating the timeline. The show reaped rewards for the MCU’s monumental shift, allowing the God of Mischief to forge a connection with the audience in a much deeper accent.  Loki has received widespread acclaim for its mind-bending visuals and storytelling.

Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, who was originally set to appear in Loki season 1, was cut from the series; however, fans can expect their reunion in the upcoming Loki physical episode. The series’ season one Blu-ray will feature the deleted scenes of Thor as a variant known as Throg. The director, Kate Herron, revealed that the Blu-ray release will contain special sequences for fans, including the Thunder god making his cameo in season one named Loki’s Coronation, and the description provided for the deleted scenes is “Mobius reviews some moments from Loki’s timeline, in which Frog Thor makes an appearance during Loki’s coronation.”

Thorg, who appeared in Loki Season 1 without speaking, will now have a voice from Hemsworth in episode 5. This is a complete treat for most fans, who are anxious to witness the majestic return of Thor. Though it isn’t a proper reunion, it would sparkle with the on-screen chemistry of the Asgardian brothers. The director also confirmed that Throg, who would appear in the physical release, would also make another cameo in the upcoming Loki season 2.

Loki season 2 to revive the franchise from recent lackluster

Loki season 1 focuses on the character variant of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, who escaped from the timeline using Tesseract during the time of Avengers: Endgame, was forcefully captured by the TVA team, and followed by the chase to find his dangerous variant. He also learns his history from Owen Wilson’s Mobius M. Mobius where the storyline involves the sequence of Hemswoth’s cameo.

Similarly, season two will follow the event after the introduction of Kang, the Conqueror will have a more intense and high-stakes version than the Loki one. Fans can hope that the fraternity that was inflicted by the recent flops will be overpowered by the Asgardian prince.  This would be a great opportunity for the franchise to recover from the lackluster period and regain its momentum.

The Blu-ray of Loki Season 1 will be released on September 26th, with a six-episode run before the arrival of Loki Season 2 on October 6.  The Scarlet Witches series Wanda Vision, labeled as The Complete Series, will follow with a release on November 28. Both will be available on Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
