The current reboot of the billion-dollar superhero franchise has almost changed everything. From the storytelling method to the addition and subtraction of new faces- James Gunn and Peter Safran are working hard to change the face of DC. Henry Cavill’s Man Of Steel 2 was on the list of upcoming projects, but the revamp plan led to the cancellation of the sequel.

However the sequel of the Man Of Steel was supposed to be written by the Peaky Blinders writer Travis Knight, but no director was assigned to the project, which indirectly indicated that Warner Bros was not interested in the making of the sequel. After Henry Cavill was officially replaced by David Corenswet, the actor issued a public statement stating his discontinuation with the franchise. His statement mentioned-

“I have just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news, everyone. I will, after all, not be returning as Superman. After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life.
