When Margot Robbie was asked if there was any potential for Barbie 2 alongside incredible Ryan Gosling, the acclaimed star explained that while making the summer blockbuster, there existed no intention of making a sequel. She further explained that the director also didn’t plan to make Barbie a trilogy.

Many might be wondering if the well-received and comedic relationship between Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie would be back in the form of Barbie 2, then this might disappoint you that the Babylon actress herself has revealed that she has no plan to get cast in a trilogy. Greta Gerwig‘s movie was highly commended for breaking the stereotypical thoughts on Barbie and ofcource Robbie and Gosling’s duo.

In an interview with the Associated PressMargot Robbie said:

“I think we put everything we had into this one. We didn’t build it to be a trilogy or something. [Director] Greta [Gerwig] put everything into this movie, so I can’t imagine what would be next.”

Post the jaw-dropping success of Barbie, it can be assumed that the duo might receive more consideration from fans after they bring their captivating bilateral collaboration on-screen in a new quirky and thrilling storyline. When GamesRadar+ asked producer Josey McNamara about reuniting the two stars.

“I can’t really say much, but I think we’re just trying to do right by the [Oceans] franchise. I’m excited for people to experience it when it’s ready. They’re [Robbie and Gosling] wonderful together. The more projects even outside of that we can have them do would be amazing.”

It is also reported that Jay Roach who is primarily recognized for his creative work in comedy and political films will direct Ocean’s 11 Prequel. Notably, when the producer replied to the question regarding reassembling The Nice Guys star and the Terminal actress, he reflected on his hope that Ocean’s 11 Prequel is the beginning of many more collaborations between Robbie and Gosling.
