The film, directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, hit theaters last weekend and became the new No. 1 movie in theaters at the domestic box office. It earned $25.4 million at the weekend box office.
Barbie added another $21.5 million to its total and has now amassed a huge $567.3 million in the domestic box office. In the fifth blockbuster week of its release, Margot Robbie’s Barbie marks the first since its July 21 release that the film has not come out on top. Oppenheimer came in third with takings of $10.6 million bringing its domestic total to $285.2 million and $717.8 million globally.
Blue Beetle stars Xolo Mariduea as the title character, and his alter persona, Jaime Reyes, is based on one of DC’s lesser-known superheroes. In the film, Jaime, a recent college graduate, comes home full of hopes for the future only to discover that things have changed somewhat. As he looks for his place in the world, fate steps in when he unintentionally comes across the Scarab, a long-lost artifact of alien biotechnology.

Barbie is getting ready to be sold online beginning next month after bringing in about $1.2 billion at the box office. Warner Bros. just revealed the wildly popular film Margot Robbie will be accessible for purchase online starting on Tuesday, September 5.
