Mark Wahlberg Believes Spider-Man Star Tom Holland Will Follow His Footsteps And Ruin His Life And Career
Mark Wahlberg, formerly known by the stage name Marky Mark, is one of the best actors in Hollywood having starred in Shooter, Entourage, The Departed and many other such movies and shows. However, he admitted that he isn’t as good at advising as he is at acting.
The person on the receiving end of Wahlberg’s advice was Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland. The duo developed a bond during their first meeting in 2017 itself as they went on to star together in the 2022 movie Uncharted.
Mark Wahlberg’s Advice Was One of Its Kind
Mark Wahlberg appeared in a 2017 episode of The Graham Norton Show. The other guests who joined Norton in that episode were Tom Holland, Sienna Miller, Woody Harrelson and Andy Serkis, and singer-songwriter Alison Moyet. During the show, Graham Norton asked Wahlberg to give some advice to Tom Holland. However, the Fear actor deemed himself unfit to give advice and said:
“You been to jail, have you? … I went to jail before I had a career. [You’re] going to go to jail at some point during your career. Don’t take any advice from me. The first check I got, I ran to the Mercedes dealer. I bought a car, I didn’t have money for registration or insurance. Police towed the vehicle because I was driving without insurance.”
Despite the advice being horrible, Tom Holland happily accepted it. While Wahlberg was promoting his movie Transformers: The Last Knight, Tom Holland was there to promote his movie Spiderman: No Way Home at the same time on the episode of The Gram Norton Show.
