Matthew Vaughn Confirms Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds Will Restore MCU to its Former Glory After Franchise Fell from a Cliff Post Endgame
Marvel Studios’ upcoming movie Deadpool 3 starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman is one of the most talked about movies in recent times. It is intended to be the 34th movie in the MCU and sequel to Deadpool and Deadpool 2, which were released in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Filmmaker Matthew Vaughn recently shared his belief when it comes to Deadpool 3.
One of the reasons why Deadpool 3 has been in the news is because of Hugh Jackman’s return to his fan-favorite character Wolverine seven years after he bid it adieu in Logan. The movie is going to be a part of phase five of the MCU and Vaughn ahead of the release of his movie Argylle shared his prediction for Deadpool 3.
Matthew Vaughn believes Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool 3 will save the MCU
Filmmaker Matthew Vaughn who is gearing up for the release of his spy action thriller Argylle, is famously known to have directed 2011’ X-Men: First Class and is a massive fan of Marvel Characters. In a recent appearance on BroBible’s Post Credit Podcast, the director noted that Deadpool 3 is going to save the fate of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He said,
“The few snippets that I know about Deadpool vs. Wolverine—or Wolverine vs. Deadpool, I’m sure that argument between Ryan and Hugh is happening as we speak—are unbelievable.”
Vaughn continued to explain,
“That’s going to be the jolt…the Marvel universe is about to have a jolt of them and it’s going to bring that body back to life. I think Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are about to save the whole Marvel Universe.”
The filmmaker who is excited about the release of his spy action thriller added during the conversation that he is genuinely a fan of X-Men and all he wants is for the movies to be as good as they should be. This goes on to explain that the MCU’s project hit a slump since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame and none of the post-Endgame projects could take the franchise a notch up from where Endgame left off.
Deadpool 3’s official synopsis was recently made available via The Direct from Marvel’s Japanese Website for the audience to have an idea of what to expect from the movie and it says, ‘The irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine?’ It should be noted that the official translated synopsis does not exactly hint that the two of them will be working together as there have been rumors and teases of them being in a battle.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool 3’s emotional wrap-up
Deadpool 3 is simply one of the highly awaited Marvel movies, which is going to see Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine share screen space for the first time. Ardent fans have been waiting for the movie for a long time and after a lengthy delay due to SAG-AFTRA strikes the movie has finally wrapped up.
Reynolds took to his social media to thank the cast and crew of the movie on the wrap-up. He wrote,
“The suit hides the blood. Also sweat…But today with ‘Deadpool’ wrapping, it’s mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and Hugh Jackman all under the stalwart leadership of Shawn Levy. I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn’t happen very often. See ya July 26th.”
Hugh Jackman also took to his social media to thank the cast and crew of the movie for their hard work and dedication to making the movie. He wrote,
“What a ride!!! I’ve loved every minute of making this movie. Well not the training and diet but the other 93.2%. To the best cast and crew, thank you! You are all aces. To two of my best mates Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy, I literally couldn’t have done this without you.”
Deadpool 3 is scheduled for a July 26th release and is the only MCU movie scheduled for a 2024 release.
