MCU Rumor: Amber Heard To Star In Fantastic Four As Invisible Woman
MCU’s Phase 4 & Phase 5 are supposed to bring Fox’s Marvel characters and all the Defenders that Marvel loaned to Netflix in the last few years. Among these characters, people are really looking forward to the Fantastic Four in particular. That’s because Marvel’s First Family will further connect to more characters like Doctor Doom, Annihilus, the Silver Surfer and Galactus. And, we know for a fact that the Fantastic Four are coming because Disney has already registered a company by the name of “Solve Everything Productions.” This company is actively developing Fantastic Four as we speak. But, were you aware of the fact that Amber Heard might be in the film as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman?
In the recent times, Amber Heard has been a hot topic on the internet for all the wrong reasons. Luckily for her, the verdict of her recent legal dispute went against Johnny Depp, and he was asked to leave the Fantastic Beasts franchise. But the general public has shown no support for her. The feeling amongst the people is that she was equally responsible (if not more) for whatever happened between her and her former husband. And so, they want her to be removed from Aquaman 2. At the moment of writing this article, the Petition to “Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2” has close to 1.5 million signatures. But it is highly likely that Warner Bros. won’t take any action against her because legally, she is not in the wrong. So, they cannot remove her from Aquaman 2 due to “fan outcry”.
And on top of that, I’ve got this new rumor which will rub salt into the wounds of these angry petitioners. Industry Insider Daniel Richtman revealed a new scoop through his Patreon. He suggests that “Kevin Feige is actively pursuing Amber Heard for a role in the MCU.” Till now, we didn’t know what role this was going to be. Our presumption was that Amber Heard could maybe make the jump from DCEU’s redhead to MCU’s redhead, and end up playing Jean Grey. But apparently, that wasn’t the case.
According to The Mother Of All Nerds, Feige may have approached Heard for the part of Sue Storm in MCU’s Fantastic Four. Now, this comes as a big surprise because firstly, no one expected Marvel to be in talks with Amber Heard, especially at a time when there’s a huge backlash against her. And secondly, we’ve always presumed that Marvel will go with the fancast choices, and bring the lovely couple of John Krasinski and Emily Blunt as Reed Richards and Sue Storm respectively. But if this Fantastic Four rumor is true, then it seems that Amber Heard might be the Invisible Woman of the MCU.
Now, I know that many Marvel fans won’t want Heard to become the Invisible Woman. Instead, they’d want her to become “Invisible” to the industry itself. So for those fans, I’m just going to say that don’t lose hope. Her casting is obviously not confirmed yet. You have to consider it as a rumor because at this stage, it is nothing more than that!
