Megan Thee Stallion Faces More Woes as Key Witness Against Tory Lanez Goes Mysteriously Missing Days Before Shooting Trial
Megan Thee Stallion’s life took a turn when one fateful night in 2020, she got into a verbal altercation with Tory Lanez. The Her singer’s life went upside down when that night she was allegedly shot at by the Say It singer after some verbal remarks.
But to date, the trial is going on. The court still has to decide whether or not to convict him. The reason behind this delay is the scarcity of good witnesses to ascertain what went down that night. And the task of finding out the truth has become way more difficult in light of one person’s disappearance.
What went down between Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion
When Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion, and Kelsey Harris left a party in 2020, things were still normal. But in the course of that one car ride, things went from bad to worse. They left the party early, something which irritated Lanez. But the discussion quickly shifted to a love triangle on the way back home. Things continued to escalate.
The row reached a point of no return soon. A lot was said in the course of that discussion. Megan soon asked to be let out of the vehicle. But Lanez was not in the mood to accommodate anything. He began to shoot at her feet, crying, “Dance, bitch.” He fired several rounds at her. Sitting in the car, observing the whole scene were two people – Kelsey Harris and Megan Thee Stallion’s bodyguard, Justin Edison.
Megan Thee Stallion’s case takes a big hit
Two eyewitnesses. One would say that Lanez was bound to get convicted in the case. It’s just a matter of time. Only if it was that simple. That night, Kelsey Harris informed Megan’s manager, “Help. Tory shot meg. 911”. In September, she had testified that she had seen him shoot the Body singer. But she went back on her testimony later, giving him a clean chit.
There was another person in the car though, whose testimony becomes of immense importance – Justin Edison. But he has disappeared. He vanished just ahead of his scheduled appearance in court. Alex Spiro, an attorney, said, “We recently learned that Justin Edison went missing right before he was scheduled to appear in court.” This is a big shock to her odds of winning the trial.
The case hangs in the balance
But there is still hope. According to Spiro, the Los Angeles Police Department is “currently looking into his disappearance”. Still, a missing person’s case has not been opened on Edison. Without his testimony, the case hangs in the balance. Edison’s attorney yet has to hear from him since Thursday.
Tory Lanez has pleaded not guilty in the case, and his side contends that the shooting was between Kelsey Harris and Megan Thee Stallion. Only time will tell what will happen in the case.
