Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s “Petty Disagreements” During Wedding Angered Prince Harry
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been dropping one bombshell after another. Followed by the release of their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, the Duke of Sussex has released his new memoir, which reveals several interactions between his wife and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Duke also shares his perspective on the infamous flower girl dress story. The incident first came to light when reports revealed that the Suits star allegedly made the Duchess of Cambridge cry in 2018.
However, Meghan Markle shared what really happened during their interview with Oprah. And now with Prince Harry has finally shared how he felt after learning about what happened between his wife and Kate Middleton.
Prince Harry Shares the Texts Between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton
In his memoir, Spare, Prince Harry shared some incidents that allegedly deteriorated the relationship between the couple and the Duchess of Cambridge. The memoir also shares the Duke’s perspective of the flower girl’s dress story that happened around his wedding with Markle. And similar to his wife, he also seems to put the blame on Kate Middleton.
The Duke of Sussex shared in his memoir that his wife received a number of texts from Kate Middleton, stating an issue with the bridesmaid’s dresses and that they needed altering. He further shares that dresses were “French couture, hand-sewn from measurements only.” So they were not surprised that the dresses might need altering.
The author of Spare shared that Kate Middleton texted Meghan Markle saying, “Charlotte’s dress is too big, too long, too baggy. She cried when she tried it on at home.” Markle in reply asked Middleton to bring the dress to the Palace, where her tailor has been standing by since 8:00 AM for making alterations.
However, the Duchess of Cambridge wanted the dresses to be remade. “No, all the dresses need to be remade, her own wedding designer agreed,” the Duke explains what Kate Middleton said, in his memoir.
Prince Harry Found Meghan Markle Crying
According to Prince Harry’s memoir, the Duchess of Cambridge wanted all the dresses to be remade. Middleton not only refused to go for the alteration, but the memoir also described that she appears to be critical of how Meghan Markle was planning her wedding in texts.
Spare explains that Kate Middleton criticized her ways mentioning“something about a party for the page boys.” Things went so far that Markle was left in tears. According to his memoir, when Prince Harry arrived home, he found his future wife “sobbing” on the floor.
However, the Duchess reflected on her actions as she “came by with flowers and a card that said she was sorry” the next morning. While the Duchess of Cambridge apologized for her actions, things were not the same between her and her brother-in-law.
Prince Harry’s memoir also shares incidents where according to him, Middleton seems to disapprove of his wife’s actions. He also shares an incident where Meghan Markle asked Kate Middleton to borrow her lip gloss, she was “taken aback.” He also shared the first meeting where Markle offered Prince William some “homeopathic remedies,” but Middleton denied saying, “he’d never take such unconventional remedies.”
The memoir titled, Spare, was released on 10 January 2023.
