Meghan Markle Reveals Kate Middleton Secretly Hated Her, Gave a ‘Jarring Reaction’ When Markle Tried to Hug Her
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle have finally shown their side of the story through an anticipated Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan. With much happening in it, one could finally get a detailed relationship of the duo with the British royal family. One such relationship came to light when the latter opened up about her first encounter with The Princess of Wales, Catherine, popularly known as Kate Middleton.
The two royal ladies have always had some alleged feud going on between them which further escalated when the Sussexes decided to step down as the senior members of the British royal family. Markle in her docuseries allegedly hinted that the Princess of Wales seemed to hate the former actress when they met for the first time.
Meghan Markle Shared Her First Meeting With Kate Middleton
In their new docuseries, Harry & Meghan, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle open up about many instances that happened when they got together. Revolving around various chapters of their life, the latter takes a dig at her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton when she met her.
Shortly after her relationship became public to the media, she was introduced to Prince William‘s wife when she realized that the Princess of Wales was not much happy about meeting her.
The actress claimed that she was unaware of the royal formalities one has to do while meeting the royal family which is what happened when she met the Princess.
She shared her first meeting with Middleton stating, “I was a hugger and have always been a hugger. I didn’t realize that that was really jarring for a lot of Brits.”
When she offered to hug the 40-year-old royal member, Middleton gave a “jarring” reaction which made Markle understand, “very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside.”
She had no idea that the royals behave the same way inside the palace just as they do outside at public events.
Prince William and Kate Middleton Will Not Watch The Netflix Docuseries, Harry & Meghan
While the estranged royal couple is making headlines for their docuseries, it is being reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will not be watching the anticipated docuseries.
“William and Kate’s aides have briefed them on the show, but don’t expect the couple to sit down in their cottage with a bowl of popcorn to tune in themselves,” the source shared to PageSix.
In the series, even the former military pilot shared that he is not expecting a “genuine apology” from the British royal family after what they did to him and his wife.
Harry & Meghan is streaming on Netflix.
