Despite this, it’s important to note that Markle skipped the coronation due to her son’s birthday and King Charles III’s toast to her grandson Archie to show affection.
Meghan Markle Hired Kim Kardashian’s Ex-Bodyguard
Meghan Markle shows her Hollywood roots have been solidified with her hiring of Kardashian’s former bodyguard. The Duchess of Sussex has been seen with the reality star’s ex-security near her Montecito home in California.
According to a source, the bodyguard had previously worked for a fashion mogul before and after her infamous robbery in Paris in 2016.
The 42-year-old former bodyguard, Steve Stanulis, shared,
“These are guys who come from a small pool of elite bodyguards, from either police or military backgrounds. Usually if a guy is good enough to work for high-profile stars, it’s not unusual for them to be sought-after. Not only for protection but also for clout. It looks good.”
Further, the bodyguard added,
“Meghan and Harry have used a lot of different close protection personnel. There have been some stresses based on concerns they have expressed.”
It has been reported that both couples have employed several bodyguards and recently dismissed their former Michael Jackson minder, Alberto Alvarez, as they expressed concerns about the past criminal records of some of their previous security personnel. The new bodyguard was employed by TorchStone Global, the same firm that employed Alvarez.
However, Markle’s absence at King Charles’s coronation was due to her son’s birthday, but the monarch showed affection to his grandson through a toast during lunch.
King Charles III’s Post-Coronation Heartwarming Gesture To His Grandson Archie
King Charles III celebrated his recent coronation in style, with family members and celebrities from around the world attending the historic event.
However, one notable absence was Prince Harry, who skipped the coronation lunch to celebrate his son Archie’s fourth birthday in California.
Despite this, the new king made a touching tribute to his grandson, raising a toast to Archie and wishing him a happy birthday, he shared, “wherever he was. It was apparently a very sweet moment.”
The touching moment took place during a private family gathering on coronation day, with sources revealing that the King was “genuinely quite disappointed that he didn’t stay,” that the Duke of Sussex had left before lunch.
While some royals were relieved that Prince Harry’s absence avoided any potential drama, King Charles made sure to acknowledge all his grandchildren, toasting the three who were present, including Prince William’s children, and those who were not, such as the 38-year-old and his family.
Markle, who did not attend the coronation, remained in the US with Archie and their daughter Lilibet.
