The Gilded Age actress and daughter of Meryl Streep, Louisa Jacobson, decided to go Instagram official with her girlfriend Anna Blundell not only during Pride Month, but also coincidentally on her mother’s 75th birthday. Jacobson shared a couple of pictures, including some mirror selfies with her partner, and wrote,

Blundell had shared a picture of the two of them on IG back in December 2023 with a caption, ‘Annual Update’. Louisa Jacobson, after graduation, worked a retail job for about a year selling handbags. She was hired by an advertising agency, and her love for acting persisted. The actress shared in an interview with Tatler back in 2022:
I had to choose, and I knew that acting was in me. So I applied to drama school and got in. It was the best three years of my life.
It was at Yale School of Drama that Jacobson met her then-boyfriend, actor Jonathan Higginbotham. In her interview, she mentioned they could share and complain about the same things. She added that one has to go with the flow and be supportive of one another. She also mentioned that it’s always tricky to navigate the different stages of one’s career, and the imbalances might exist during one time, but time has something else planned.
Jonathan Higginbotham, who holds an MFA from Yale School of Drama, has performed on Broadway in the show Slave Play, which went on to earn 12 Tony Award nominations. The actor has also been a part of television series like The Blacklist and The Walking Dead: Dead City. As of now, it is unclear when the couple decided to part ways.
Although Louisa Jacobson had turned off the comment section on her Instagram, fans assume that she must have received overwhelming love and support from her loved ones. Fans also pointed out that the Human Rights Campaign honored her mother with the Ally for Equality Award in 2017.
Louisa Jacobson says she has worked hard to separate her image from her family
It is pretty natural and obvious for fans and critics to expect a lot from the daughter of Meryl Streep. She’d always be compared to one of the best actresses in the world, but Louisa explained that she has worked very hard to carve her presence in the industry. She said,
It’s going to be a constant thing throughout my life. It’s been since I can remember—the issue of ‘Do I deserve what I have?’ But I think of Jane Fonda and how she made a name for herself. I just think it takes time to stop reading Twitter and just focus on what I want to achieve as an artist.
She also said that she believes that the profession does require them to be thick-skinned and not let the words from the outside bring them down.
Jacobson will reportedly star in the Pedro Pascal, Dakota Johnson, and Chris Evans starrer Materialists, directed and written by Celine Song. The movie follows the story of a matchmaker, her ex-boyfriend, and a wealthy businessman. According to Variety, the upcoming movie will be her follow-up to Past Lives but no further details about the movie have been shared.
