‘Might have had a little too much tequila’: Ashton Kutcher Admits He Proposed to Wife Mila Kunis While He Was Drunk as a Skunk
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are one of those Hollywood couples that restore your faith in love. From playing on-screen lovers as teenagers to finding their way to each other over a decade later and creating a beautiful family together, that is one hell of a journey.
Ashton Kutcher recently shared a crucial moment from that journey to the whole world – the day he confessed his love for Kunis, both to himself and her. And now the missus has shared her side of that story with the world.
Straight outta rom-com
Ashton Kutcher has a 10-part Peloton running series called Our Future Selves going on, where he has guests come over and join him in his training for the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon. In one of the episodes, where he had country singer Kenny Chesney with him as the guest of the episode, Kutcher shared a pivotal love confession.
Chesney shared a TikTok clip of the two running alongside on a treadmill when Kutcher was recorded saying,
“The first time I told my wife that I love her, was while listening to ‘You and Tequila’. I might have had a little too much tequila. I showed up drunk at her house, at like two in the morning, and I just started screaming, ‘You and tequila make me crazy’. And I told her I love her, and she’s like, ‘Don’t say it if you don’t mean it. Are you gonna love me in the morning when you wake up from this hangover?’ “

Chesney was pleasantly surprised at the revelation. He claimed, “Well, I had no idea that I and Grace Potter were such a part of a really intimate detail for you and your wife.” To this, Kutcher replied, “You and Grace Potter brought it home. These are fundamental moments in my life.”
Mila Kunis’ side of the story
Mila Kunis put the doubts to bed by confirming the entire story. The 39-year-old actress confirmed to Entertainment Tonight during the premiere of her latest Netflix release Luckiest Girl Alive, that her husband’s story is true. She said to ET,
“It really happened. Oh, I remember that night. I didn’t have tequila. I was sober and I was like, ‘Oh my god.’ It happened, guys.”
The two had first met on the sets of the late 90’s sitcom That 70’s Show. They played the role of an on-again, off-again couple Jackie and Kelso. Kunis even shared that Kutcher was her first kiss ever, even though it was on-screen. Off-screen dating did not start for a long time. They started out casually in 2012, but soon grew serious and moved in together. The couple got hitched in 2015 and share two kids.
