The movie has garnered 137.2 million views after eighty-seven days of its premiere.
Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo from a screenplay by Dan Mazeau, the movie follows Elodie, who agrees to marry a prince only to find herself fighting a dragon in a cave to save her life. In an interview with Netflix’s TUDUM at the time, the actress explained about her character,
Elodie becomes someone so unbelievably different from who she was at the beginning. She becomes this woman that she didn’t know she could become. And I think that is a huge storyline that so many women and young girls will be able to relate to.
Upon its debut, according to Deadline, the movie spent six weeks on the Top 10 Global Movie List and reached the Top 10 in 93 countries. The young actress also expressed her gratitude at the time by sharing a statement with the publication.
