Mission Impossible 8 Will Bring Back One Character That Was Presumed Dead in Tom Cruise’s ‘Lukewarm’ Dead Reckoning

After the mixed reception of the latest release of the franchise, Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One, word is that the makers are gearing up for something bigger and better.
With news of a fan-favorite character returning from presumed death, the anticipation for the next movie has only increased.

Continuing the tradition, the upcoming installment of the action-filled franchise will be a roller-coaster ride, both in terms of action and storyline. As a longtime part of the franchise, Simon Pegg sent fan spaces abuzz when he gave a subtle clue to the next film’s plot on Instagram. Pegg shared that the antagonist-turned-protagonist character Paris is not dead; despite what was shown in the previous film.

Paris, played by Pom Klementieff, is a French assassin who works with some people in a bid to take down Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team. In a twist of fate, Paris ends up becoming an IMF agent. As per the events of the last sequel, Paris was presumed dead.

But Pegg suggests that so is not the case. The actor posted a picture of Klementieff as Paris and captioned it: “Hard to kill! If you think you’ve seen the last of Paris… think again.” Mission Impossible 8 seems to have a lot in store for the fans.

Pom Klementieff, known for her work in the MCU, is expected to reprise her role as Paris in the upcoming sequel of the Mission: Impossible franchise; along with Esai Morales, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, and Shea Whigham.
The film was supposed to be called Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part Two. However, delays in filming due to the SAG-AFTRA strike have pushed the release to 2025. Moreover, this film will most likely not be the last chronicle of Ethan Hunt’s adventure. Makers have hinted that there might be another sequel.
Mission Impossible: 8 is set to premiere in theaters on May 23, 2025.
