“Months ago we both agreed it was worth saving”: Power Rangers Star Jason David Frank Committed Suicide After Intense Argument With Wife, Left Her Devastated
Power Rangers star Jason David Frank recently died at the age of 49. The actor reportedly committed suicide after getting into an argument with his estranged wife Tammie Frank. The two filed for divorce in August. They reportedly checked into two separate rooms at a hotel in Texas on Friday. He was widely known for his role as Green Power Ranger Tommy Oliver in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. As per sources, he got into a fight with his estranged wife and committed suicide a few hours later.
Jason David Frank died a few hours after he got into an argument with Tammie Frank
Jason David Frank and his estranged Tammie Frank reportedly checked into two separate rooms at a hotel in Texas on Friday and got into a fight a few hours later in Tammie Frank’s room. The situation was handled by hotel staffers who immediately resolved the fight. However, the two later fought again and the actor locked Tammie Frank out of his room. She then called the police around 5 AM on Saturday. The actor’s death was confirmed by TMZ on Sunday. The actor, who was 49, played Tommy Oliver, the original Green and White Ranger, in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Tammie Frank later posted on her Instagram
Tammie Frank later paid her respects to her estranged husband on her Instagram account. She posted a series of pictures on Instagram and captioned the post,
“The loss of my soulmate. Jason, I can’t go on without you! You are my world! Yes we had our struggles like any marriage. But months ago we both agreed it was worth saving. Deep conversations, vulnerability, forgiveness on both our parts. I am deeply lost, hurt, and utterly destroyed. I lost my one and only true love. I am your forever ‘Firecracker’ baby…till we’re together again 💔.”
The actor shared a daughter Jenna with Tammie Frank and before that he was married to Shawna Frank from 1994 until 2001. The two shared three children, sons Hunter and Jacob and daughter, Skye.

The actor’s co-stars paid their respects
His Power Rangers co-star, Amy Jo Johnson, who played the Pink Ranger, posted a selfie with the actor and captioned it,
“Jase, you were beautiful and truly unique. My life just won’t be the same without your frenetic, hilarious, caring, driven, and creative ball of energy. I will always love you, dear friend. Please Rest now In Peace…”
The actor’s character, Tommy Oliver was first seen as a villain, brainwashed by the evil Rita Repulsa, but later he became a part of the group as the Green Ranger and went on to become one of the most popular characters on the show.
