Michael Keaton’s Vulture is set to appear in Morbius, when this news broke in, many fans wondered if it’s going to be a variant or something since Vulture appears in MCU while Morbius is going to be the part of Sony’s Marvel Universe.

Michael Keaton is set to join the villains in Sony’s latest addition to Marvel movies. Venom (2018) had already gotten fans debating if it will be connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and we even saw Venom in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Everyone liked it, didn’t we? Thanks to all the success that Sony has achieved with Venom, we are seeing other Spider-Man villains such as Morbius making their way to the big screens.

Vulture is same as MCU's in Sony Universe?
Jared Leto as Morbius in Sony’s much-awaited Marvel movie

After what we saw in Loki on Disney+, the involvement of Michael’s Vulture certainly felt like a variant, but Director Daniel Espinosa confirmed otherwise.

In an interview with CinemaBlend, Daniel said that Vulture is not a variant and is the same as the one from MCU and Spider-Man: Homecoming.  But at the same time, it doesn’t mean that Morbius takes place in MCU.

Here’s what Daniel Espinosa had to say:

Michael Keaton set to star alongside Jared Leto in Morbius
Michael Keaton’s Vulture in Morbius

“At the end of Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home, and in No Way Home itself, it is clearly established that it is possible for characters to transfer from one Multiverse to another. The events of No Way Home had the effect of transferring Venom and Vulture (and maybe others ) back and forth between the MCU and the Venom Universe.”

Well at least that answers a lot about Vulture but it has still left many fans confused. But at the same time that would mean that Vulture won’t be a part of MCU films since he is now in Sony’s universe.

The plot of the movie:

Michale Morbius is a biochemist who is trying to cure himself of an extremely rare blood disease. But his experiment goes wrong and he ends up becoming a vampire. Jared Leto plays Morbius and is set to be joined by Matt Smith, Jared Harris, Adria Arjona, Tyrese Gibson, Al Madrigal, Archie Renaux, Tom Forbes among others!

The movie is set to release on April 1st in your nearest theatres and we are sure it is going to be AMAZING! It’s not every day we see “The Living Vampire” on big screens eh? Comic fans can’t control their excitement to see what Jared Leto has to offer!

Could Morbius meet Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man? Maybe it could be a post-credit? Which Spider-Man do you want to see Morbius fight?
