Fawad Khan officially made his debut in the MCU and did the most Fawad-thing ever, making everyone swoon with his natural and otherworldly charm. He appeared in a full-fledged role in the 5th episode of Ms. Marvel, after making a sneak peek appearance last week. Fawad Khan’s role in the series was confirmed last year, and the studio managed to keep most of the details a secret despite a leak.

Fawad plays Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) aka Ms. Marvel’s great-grandfather, Hasan and Mehwish Hayat play Aisha, Kamala’s great-grandmother, who is one of the clandestine, and from whom she inherited the magical bangles. The 5th episode features a flashback montage at the time of pre-partition when India was under British colonial rule. Fawad’s character Hasan is a Muslim freedom fighter in British Occupied India who dreams of an independent nation. Hasan meets Aisha and a beautiful romance ensues between the two, leading to them getting married and starting a family.
