My Dress-Up Darling chapter 114 recap
Chapter 114 starts so abruptly that it feels like the author wants to prepare her audience for an untimely departure. Here, we see everyone back at the school, where they are finally free from their final exam.
Marin comes to talk to Gojo and invites him to the beach out of nowhere, and Gojo relents as he has become desensitized to Marin’s whims. They enjoy their time and spend very normal but beautiful moments together, appreciating the summer sky.
We see them doing things a typical girlfriend and boyfriend would, like clicking photos together, walking on the sandy shores, basking in each other’s presence, etc. And this is where the confessions come in — not the love kind, but the revelations about how Gojo thought Marin was someone living in a separate world. Marin counters his claim by pointing out that if they really did live in different worlds, they would not have met in the first place.
Marin also counts the things they have not done in their lives, like visiting Okinawa or Hokkaido or having a rolled egg omelet. She then asks Gojo to list the things they have yet to do, to which Gojo replies that completing everything will take a lifetime. Marin takes this chance to declare how they will have a lifetime together to do everything.
My Dress-Up Darling chapter 115 spoilers and expectations
If you think the last chapter felt rushed and got done in a lackluster manner, then you’re not the only one as the sentiment is shared by many. The fans have voiced their dismay about ending things so haphazardly as if it were just any other cliche rom-com, which this was not.
There could have been so many areas where the story would have thrived, but sadly, those arcs never came. The last chapter, thus, might have a montage of experiences both Marin and Gojo will go through in their lives. We might also see a time skip where Marin becomes a professional cosplayer and Gojo, a famed hina doll maker, living their lives to the fullest while being with each other.
Despite fans feeling obvious disappointment, it also should be noted that this mess happened majorly because of health concerns for the author, Shinichi Fukuda. Apparently, she could not continue any longer and decided to end things as a solution.

The decision is understandable, but many authors in the manga industry take long breaks and then come back. A major example of this would be Yoshihiro Togashi, who is infamous for his frequent hiatuses. Though this is not something fans appreciate, at least they have the hope Hunter × Hunter is still going on. However, here, even that is not possible.
Thankfully, the second season of the anime is supposed to drop in 2025, which might appease the fans to some extent.
