New Leak Reveals Details About Spider-Man 2, The PS4 Sequel
Apart from the game, we also want to see the Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse sequel. Since there’s no news on that as well, so we thought about creating our own trailer. Check it out below:
What Is The Possibility That Spider-Man Will Receive A Sequel?
How are we so sure Spider-Man will get a sequel? Well, Sony has acquired Insomniac Games as an internal first-party developer even though it was an independent studio prior to the original game’s release. This move does seem like Sony is gearing up for Spider-Man 2. Of course, we would like to remind you that nothing is official yet. But with both Sony and Microsoft’s next-gen hardware due out this year, the former is expected to reveal a number of highly-requested sequels along with its new console. The hope is that it will mark the return of the web slinger.

Reddit Leak Reveals New Details From Spider-Man 2
While we wait for the official news, there has been a leak which is making its rounds on Reddit. The post says that development for the follow up is much further along than anyone could have dreamt of. The post in question, authored by user v17447377, provides a ton of details surrounding returning characters, new villains and plot details. Here’s what the post mainly says:
- Venom, Green Goblin, Carnage, Mysterio, Lizard and more will be making an appearance.
- Manhattan will return as the primary open-world location. But other expanded locations such as Queens and Brooklyn will be there.
- Cloning will play an important role in the narrative and likely be tied to Oscorp.
- Miles Morales will once again be playable. But the primary focus will be on Peter Parker.
- Diablo-type dungeons mechanic to randomize crimes around the city.
We would want nothing more than this to come true and this seems very believable as well. But we should caution you to keep your hopes in check as nothing is confirmed till now and such Reddit leaks always make rounds even though they very rarely come true.
