New Motion Poster For Scream Released By Their Official Twitter Handle
Usually, friends getting together to celebrate a reunion is usually a happy occasion but not all reunions are meant to be happy or joyous. A new motion poster for Scream has been released recently which is a gentle reminder of the same – some reunions are rather terrifying. Like earlier films in the Scream franchise, the forthcoming Scream film has a few new additions to its cast, although the film marks the return of Courteney Cox, Neve Campbell, and David Arquette who have made an appearance in all films in the franchise until now. While Scream hits the theaters in January next year, you may check out the newly released motion poster below.
The poster was shared by the official Scream account on Twitter, with a caption, ‘Getting ready for friendskilling.’

The Premises and Cast Of Scream
The movie is based twenty-five years after the brutal series of murders that haunted the town of Woodsboro and now, a new killer has worn the Ghostface mask, beginning to terrorize a group of teenagers to extract some secrets from the town’s past. Sidney Prescott, played by Neve Campbell, Gale Weathers played by Cox and Dewey Riley who plays David Arquette will return to their roles alongside Kyle Gallner, Melissa Barrera, Mikey Madison, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Jack Qwaid, Dyan Minnette, Jasmin Brown, Sonia Ammar, and Marley Shelton.
It’s been more than a decade since the last Scream movie hit the theaters, and one more reason that surprised many franchise fans was the passing away of franchise director Wes Craven, back in 2015. The new film is being helmed by Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli, who also directed Ready or Not.
It was previously revealed by Gillett that fans can expect many Easter eggs from the predecessors of Scream.
“A lot of it came from the script, where the entry point is accessible to everybody,” Gillett revealed while talking to Hello Sidney in regards to looking for the right balance of a new approach and older influences. “This isn’t a movie that you need to have seen 27 other movies to understand […] But, your experience will be extremely heightened the more knowledge you have of those previous four. We have a ton of Easter eggs.”
Earlier Scream Star David Arquette admitted that he loves working with ex-wife Courteney Cox.
“I always love working with Courteney. There’s an intangible quality of having a relationship with somebody, and then being able to act with them, that you kind of can’t act. It’s like the Everly Brothers singing harmonies – there’s a real beauty to the relationship that you can’t really fake.”
