Nikki Glaser’s Raunchiest Golden Globes 2025 Joke Was Aimed At a Hunky Actor Who Could Give Timothée Chalamet a Run for His Money

Nikki Glaser made history at the Golden Globes 2025 by becoming the first woman to host the annual award show on her own. It is safe to say that she nailed every single roast wrapped up in a coat of compliments, along with her monologue that definitely set up the mood for one of Hollywood’s biggest nights.

Glaser made quite a few jokes at the expense of the guests and this included Hollywood’s latest entry for the next movie star, Glen Powell- although it was more of a compliment. That said, Powell is one of those young stars who can give Dune star Timothée Chalamet a run for his money.

Nikki Glaser made a somewhat explicit joke while teasing Glen Powell for his looks

Nikki Glaser is most famously known for her viral Tom Brady Netflix roast and her iconic Comedy Central roasts of Alec Baldwin and Rob Lowe. Some might even know her for attending over 60 hours worth of concerts of Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour. Now, most people probably know her as the comedian who single-handedly roasted the entirety of Hollywood at the Golden Globes.

Besides having Adam Sandler join in to poke fun at Timothée Chalamet, suggesting that his name sounded like something Sandler would blurt out mid-skit, Glaser also took the opportunity to say just how hot Chalamet’s contemporary Glen Powell is.

Powell and Glaser ran into each other on the red carpet and the comedian told him that he was going to love what she had to say to him (via Access Hollywood). True to her word, during her opening monologue at the Golden Globes, she said:

Glen Powell, what a year you’ve had. Oh, my God, Glen, you were in everything. Twisters, Hit Man, my head when I’m having s*x with my boyfriend. Thank you so much for the assist. I’ll see you tonight.

To his credit, Powell blushed as he could not help but laugh at the raunchy joke. He was nominated for the Best Male Actor award in a Musical or Comedy for Set It Up while Chalamet was nominated for the Best Male Actor award in a Drama for A Complete Unknown. Unfortunately, both of them could not win in their respective categories.

That said, both of them were on a coveted list by The Hollywood Reporter which claims that they are the next potential A-listers. While the Little Women star has been in mainstream Hollywood for almost a decade now, Powell began gaining attention after his role in Top Gun: Maverick. That, however, has not stopped the latter from becoming a favorite among fans who absolutely loved watching him in Twisters and Set It Up last year.

Glen Powell and Nikki Glaser have mutual feelings for each other

While the explicit joke in her opening monologue was telling enough of how much Nikki Glaser adores Glen Powell, she had already pointed it out in an interview with CNN earlier. so, naturally, when the outlet’s correspondent Elizabeth Wagmeister got the chance to talk to Powell, she made sure to let the star know about Glaser’s comment and also get his response to it.

The Anything but You star was all smiles alongside his parents on the red carpet as he reciprocated Glaser’s appreciation for him, saying:

Nikki, I feel the same way. You won the genetic lottery (and) you’re funny as hell. This is- I’m so excited about everything that Nikki’s going to do tonight because she’s come onto the scene, she deserves everything she’s getting. She is really taking over the world and is truly one of the funniest people doing it right now.

He went on to say that he and Glaser follow each other on Instagram, and also that he is a big fan of the comedian. Apparently, they are both each other big fans and they can be hardly blamed.
