“No money but I’ve been the happiest I’ve ever been”: $5M Rich Bachelorette Star Tyler Cameron Said Supermodel Gigi Hadid Never Made Him Feel Small Despite Having Only $200 While Dating Her
Nowadays, finding out how much money a celebrity is worth only requires a quick Google search. Even though it’s obviously not always accurate, it’s interesting enough to see which celebrities have bigger bank accounts than you might have thought. Observing which celebrities are openly honest about how much money they lack is much more interesting. Just like Tyler Cameron, who recently discussed his financial condition while dating Gigi Hadid.
If you are unfamiliar with Tyler, he rose to fame in 2019 after placing second on Season 15 of The Bachelorette. He was bolstered even more when he was romantically linked to supermodel Gigi Hadid. However, he was in a relationship with her for a short time. The couple reportedly split up in late 2019 after dating for a few months.
Tyler accompanied Hadid to her grandmother’s funeral in the Netherlands that year, and things were seemingly serious enough between the two. Now, on Monday’s episode of fellow Bachelor Nation alum Jason Tartick’s podcast, Trading Secrets, he reflects on his dating experience with Gigi Hadid.
Tyler Cameron Disclosed His Lack Of Finances
During Monday’s episode of Jason Tartick’s Trading Secrets podcast, the 30-year-old reality star reflected on his love life. Tyler Cameron dated Gigi Hadid for a short time after his appearance on The Bachelorette in 2019, where he was one of lead Hannah Brown’s top two picks.
During his conversation, the host recalled a conversation he and Matt James had with Cameron about his dating life after he finished shooting The Bachelorette. Tartick recalled, “You and I are sitting at a sushi joint, Matt James came in. And I was like: ‘Dude, what are you gonna do?’ And we start talking about, like, what you’re thinking. And you were starting to date Gigi Hadid.’”
After Cameron laughed at this remark, Tartick explained how a friend told him that he wasn’t in the best financial situation while dating Hadid. “Dude, I don’t know what the f*ck I’m gonna do. I got $5,000 in my bank account, I don’t know what my next job is, and I’m dating Gigi Hadid,” Cameron added.
The model again tried to clarify that statement, saying, “Not even $5,000. I had, like, $200, you know what I mean?”
$5m Rich Bachelorette Star Recalled ‘Early Days In New York’
Jason Tartick was perplexed as to how Tyler Cameron was “managing” his dates with Gigi Hadid when “you only have $200 to your name.” Cameron responded by explaining how he would simply hope for the best when paying for something during his dates.
He went on to reminisce about his “early days in New York” when he was “going on dates” and living with Matt James, who went on to become The Bachelor after Cameron recommended him to the franchise. “I’m living on Matt’s beanbag, have no money, but I’m the happiest I’ve ever been because the world is wide open to me in New York City,” he explained.
The former couple first came to public attention in August 2019, when the former contestant on The Bachelorette was photographed out with the model. While Hadid and Cameron chose to keep their relationships private, they were seen together on several occasions in New York later that year.
Despite their split in October 2019, Cameron reportedly maintained that they were still on good terms at the time.
