When it comes to Star Wars, the fandom is unquestionably one of the biggest that there is. And throughout the world people would have come across it one way or another. Many of its casts include A-list Hollywood stars such as Liam Neeson, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, etc.

However, the Star Wars series of the 90s had one character Padmé Amidala, played by Natalie Portman. Although the character was discontinued after the third installment of the series in Revenge of Sith 2005, it seems that people liked the character.

However, the way Amidala was portrayed in the last film seemed to have left many fans disappointed. And therefore curious fans asked Portman the question of a possible return to the series with her character. In a series of online responses, the Black Swan star answered what her thoughts were.

Many fans of the Star Wars series seemed to have liked the character of Padmé Amidala, which was played by Natalie Portman. However, in The Revenge of the Sith, her character had been done dirty by its director George Lucas.

Before the discontinuation of the character, she was left at home pregnant and heartbroken, which for many fans it was not it, and they seemed to believe that the character of Amidala should be given justice with a better story.

Taking this argument, one asked if Portman was ever going to return with the character in the series. Among many questions, Portman answered in a GQ QandA recently and quenched the curiosity by saying,

No one’s ever asked me to return, but I’m open to it.”

It is clear from her response that there has been no talk about reviving the character of Amidala as far as it is concerned. But as the actor mentioned she is ready if any door opens for her in the Star Wars world.

A Brief Look At The Star Wars Series

The Prequel trilogy film consists of The Phantom Menace (1999), Attack of Clones (2000), and Revenge of the Sith (2005). And the first of the Trilogy is also the fourth in the whole star wars film series. The plot centers around the Skywalker saga and explores the journey of a Jedi master named Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi trying to protect Queen Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman).

The last in the trilogy Return of the Sith, starts three years after the clone wars. The Jedis spreads over the galaxy and prepare to fight the separatist.
