No Way Home’s Andrew Garfield Gives Most Diplomatic ‘Who Has the Best Spider-Man Suit’ Answer: “None of the suits are that much fun to wear”
Before British actor Tom Holland caught the world by storm as Spider-Man in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Captain America: Civil War, actor Andrew Garfield played a friendly neighborhood hero in 2012 when he appeared as Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: No Way Home – Art of The Movie Book, which was recently released, has a plethora of abandoned concept art ideas that were purportedly designed for the film, as well as some alternate designs for anti-heroes who appeared in the film.
Andrew Garfield answers which Spider-Man suit is his favorite
A Twitter account Spider-Man News recently shared screenshots from the newly released Spider-Man: No Way Home – Art of The Movie Book, which features the exclusive concept artwork and in-depth interviews with the creative team, actors, and everyone involved in the making of the movie.
During an interview that has been shared in the art book, Andrew Garfield, who had portrayed Spider-Man before Tom Holland took over, was asked about his favorite Spider-Man suit among the three.
Garfield said, “The eyes on mine are definitely the best. I would say, practically, my suit is the best, because I have zippers on my wrist so that I can get my hands out. You get more breaks but none of the suits are that much fun to wear, they’re all kind of impossible.”
Andrew Garfield talks about Peter Parker saving MJ
One of the most iconic and heartbreaking scenes from MCU’s Spider-Man: No Way Home was when Garfield’s Peter Parker saves MJ, played by Zendaya in the movie, from dying the same way Gwen Stacy played by Emma Stone died and he couldn’t save her.
The actor said, “By catching MJ, he got to make up for a terrible tragedy that he tried to avoid in his world. If he hadn’t been in Peter 1’s world, then it’s possible MJ may have met the same fate as Gwen.”
In the art book, one thing that fans noticed was how Willem Dafoe, who played Green Goblin in Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man movies in 2002 was showcased in a suit that was a mix of Iron Man’s Mark VI armor and Green Goblin’s armor, which has now interested the fans of the movie.

Andrew Garfield on future of his Spider-Man
In a section of the art book that was shared, the actor was asked about what possible future he thinks his Peter Parker/Spider-Man holds, to which Garfield said that the story never ends.
He explained, “Whether we film it or not, there’s a story happening in a universe somewhere, there’s endless potential with this character and other iterations. So yeah, he’s out there doing something. He’s going back knowing he has brothers. He’s going back in re-inspired to follow his destiny, his calling.”
Now that the MCU has opened the door to the multiverse, every character that has appeared in the MCU has a probability of returning to the franchise. However, current Spider-Man, Tom Holland, is all set to reprise his role as Peter Parker, with producer Amy Pascal sharing that they are thinking of the next movie as three films adding that it’s not the last of their MCU movies.
However, Tom Holland during an interview shared, “I’m really, really happy with where we’re at regarding the creative. But I’m also a little apprehensive about it.”
The actor noted that there’s a bit of a stigma about the fourth one in all franchises and he feels like they hit a home run with their first franchise and there’s a part of him that wants to walk away with his head held high and pass the baton to the next lucky kid that gets to bring the character to life.
Spider-Man 4’s production is at a standstill due to writers’ and actors’ strike.
