Earlier, it was announced that Disney planned to work on a female-centric soft-reboot of Pirates 6. The film was set to star Australian actress Margot Robbie, but the actress confirmed that the project was dead in the water at Disney in an interview recently.
However, the reasons why the actor was axed from the role are unknown, but there was a rumor that his infamous defamation case trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, as well as his rude behavior toward crew members and being always drunk on set, led Disney to take action.
