In a bid to get the conversation started again, Ryan Reynolds shared a deleted scene from Deadpool & Wolverine just when people were starting to move on from the movie.

The actor shared that Channing Tatum’s Gambit survived the brutal fight that took place between the rag-tag team of superheroes and that of Cassandra Nova’s brute force.

The video shows Gambit walking in perfect health amidst a floor full of dead bodies as he turns and gives a mischievous smile to the camera. Reynolds further captions the post so as to spark a conversation at Marvel Studios to finally give Tatum a Gambit movie, something he has been dreaming of for the longest time. The actor even signed on to play Gambit back in 2014, but the movie never panned out.

When a user blatantly asked other users and the Marvel fandom if they wished to see Tatum as Gambit in a solo movie, the responses by the fans were disappointing. While some hope to see Tatum return in smaller roles in other Marvel projects, others suggest it’s better to leave Gambit’s legacy at Deadpool & Wolverine.

Nonetheless, some fans claim that Gambit is certainly an interesting character and would be better off adding value to other Marvel projects rather than driving his solo Gambit movie.

Even though these comments would deeply upset Tatum who has been striving for his own Gambit movie for about a decade, they should know the truth now rather than regret wasting money on such a project. On the other hand, there are many who loved Tatum’s portrayal of Gambit and would like to see how he emulates the character further. It all boils down to the script and overarching connection Gambit can have with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
