One Piece: Megan Thee Stallion Becomes Boa Hancock in Jaw-dropping Cosplay After Gojo Satoru and Jolyne Cujoh
Megan Thee Stallion has never shied away from showing her affection towards anime. The hip-hop artist from Houston, Texas has revealed her new anime cosplay, inspired by One Piece, through her social media accounts. This is definitely not her first rodeo. In the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, she made an appearance by transforming into Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen.
Stallion uploaded various photos of herself in a daring outfit that bears a resemblance to the character of Boa Hancock from One Piece. Although she took some liberties with the outfit to let her own personality shine, the hairstyle, costume, and snake motif are clearly based on the Snake Princess. Additionally, Stallion’s cosplay photos are also designed to mimic the physical copies of PlayStation 2 video games. The caption of Stallion’s posts read: “Are you ready to play?”
Megan Thee Stallion’s One Piece Cosplay Is Also A Callout To The PlayStation 2
Fans of Stallion are aware that the rapper is one of the biggest anime fans in the music industry as represented by her Boa Hancock-inspired cosplay. In addition, Stallion’s new anime cosplay also references the PlayStation 2 physical copy design. Megan Thee Stallion also took to X to show off her latest cosplay. It is surprising to see that she was keen on putting up edits to give it a real-life effect.

Stallion isn’t afraid to flaunt her love for anime as seen by her appearance as Satoru Gojo in the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Shortly after the awards ceremony, Stallion dressed up in an outfit inspired by Jolyne Cujoh from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean. Previously, Stallion also disguised herself as Death the Kid from Soul Eater and carried out a gender-swapped cosplay of Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia. She also cosplayed as Rumi Usagiyama, the Rabbit Hero from My Hero Academia.
One Piece Fans Theorize That Megan Thee Stallion’s Latest Cosplay Has a Deeper Meaning Behind It
Stallion’s Boa Hancock cosplay can be seen as an easy attention-grabbing instrument for her new snake-related singles, “Cobra” and “Hiss”. However, One Piece fans can be unrelenting when it comes to theories and have picked a deeper meaning behind her cosplay.

Snakes can be associated with rebirth due to their association with death and skin shedding. Currently, Stallion is going through a ‘rebirth’ phase in her music career and her singles “Cobra” and “Hiss” deal with heavy subject matters, such as her confrontation with suicidal thoughts, the passing of her mother, and the emotional and physical damage of having her foot shot by rapper Tony Lanez in 2020.
The One Piece anime series is available on multiple streaming services, including Crunchyroll and Hulu. The manga is available to read on VIZ Media.
