Expressing her obsession with her kids, Garner shared how she embarked on a journey to motherhood for the first time.
Admitting how she was “all over” her first daughter, Violet, Jennifer Garner recalled the nightmares of being a mother for the first time. Speaking in retrospect about her early days of parenthood, Garner labeled herself as a hovering parent. Sharing three children with her ex-husband, the actress expressed her willingness to have kids with Ben Affleck.

Getting a breakthrough in her career in 2001, Jennifer Garner was quick to marry Ben Affleck, arguably one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood, in 2005. Spending 13 years of her life with the Oscar-winning actor, navigating through public attention and seasoning hardships the couple welcomed three kids of their own.
Sitting for an interview with Allure, Garner shared her experience of motherhood and spoke about her maternal instincts from an early age. Finding motherhood quite familiar, the actress recalled, “I was the kid with the doll everywhere I went. And I had a babysitting company with my friend Carrie — C & J’s Babysitting”. Thus, discussing her willingness to be a mother, Garner stated, “I really could have been a mother in any way”.
Adding on, “I could have adopted, I could have fostered, but there was no doubt I was going to be a mom.” Jennifer Garner expressed her adamant decision. Regardless of the path she choose as her career, Garner was always sure, the path would somehow lead her to motherhood. However, destined to be a mother, Garner never guessed the struggles that would come associated with it.

Expressing honestly about her willingness to have kids with her ex-husband Ben Affleck, while they were married, Jennifer Garner detailed her journey. Unaware of the nightmarish struggles of being a mother for the first time, Garner stated how she blindly followed her maternal instincts. The Hollywood sweetheart revealed the two excruciating decades when she struggled the most with parenthood.
Expressing her difficulty in letting her firstborn daughter be on her own, The Last Thing He Told Me star mentioned, “I was all over her”. Blaming it on her lack of experience, the actress stated, “I was such a first-time mom…I was a nightmare for everyone around me.” Keeping it real, the actress elaborated on her obsession with her children, especially her eldest daughter. “My eldest daughter didn’t have a shot” Garner claimed.
The Juno star further mentioned how fiercely she protects her children from paparazzi and social media. Realizing the societal struggles that are put on people by social media, Garner mentioned protecting her kids for the best. Putting a limit on the amount of social media content consumed by her three children, the actress mentioned dedicating her life towards shielding them.
