During an appearance on the famous chat show, Late Night With Seth Meyers in 2016, Pedro Pascal spoke about Game Of Thrones and how he ended up landing himself the character of Oberyn Martell. The actor started off with a disclaimer and recalled that it was a long story. He was mentoring a student at USC back then. He said-
“I was a mentor to a graduate of USC. An actor. […] His first audition on tape he wants my help with, and it’s like seventeen pages of a new role for Game of Thrones. He’s like a twenty-five-year-old kid, really, really talented, good-looking […] He’d never seen the show – I was a huge fan.”

The negative traits of the character attracted Pedro Pascal to do the role. He further added-
“He is in his late 30s. He was a slut. He had like eight daughters. He’s dangerous. I was like, ‘This is perfect… for me!'”
The Star Wars actor admitted acting selfishly as he went on to text the manager requesting to be cast as Oberyn Martell. He said-
“It’s terrible!”
Pedro Pascal’s performance as Oberyn Martell brought him into the mainstream media. He was not only lauded for his spectacular performance but even went on to construct a solid path in the world of entertainment.
Pedro Pascal Had A Crush On His Game Of Thrones Co-Star Lena Headey
It is very common to fall in love or end up having a crush on your co-stars. Similarly, Pedro Pascal and actor Lena Headey were rumored to be dating each other during the filming of Game Of Thrones. However, the Narcos actor is an extremely private person and refrains from talking about his personal life in front of the media.
He was romantically linked with his Game Of Thrones co-star Lena Headey. During a Q&A session on Reddit, the actor spoke about Lena Headey. He said-
“Lena is one of my favorite people. And she is so funny and so smart, such a good person, a good friend, and a good mother, I think everyone on that set and anyone who comes in contact with her develops an instant crush.”
He further added-
“Talk about male or female, you’re going to get a crush on her easy. And I was just lucky that I got to work with her and hit it off and continue being friends.”
Lena Headey portrayed the character of Cersei Lannister in the HBO fantasy drama. The rumored couple has been spotted multiple times together in public and got along well both on and off-screen.
