American comedian and actor Pete Davidson has cancelled his several shows in New York City and Pittsburgh for the coming week. These include the shows scheduled for Friday, 22nd of December, and Saturday, 23rd of December, at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. According to the Ticket Master website, the comedian’s shows scheduled on the 26th, 30th and 31st of this month stand cancelled.

Davidson’s stand-up at the Beacon Theatre was cancelled at the last moment. According to Deadline, the ticket holders received an email hours before the show began. The email stated, “Please be advised that the Pete Davidson performances scheduled to take place at the Beacon Theatre have been cancelled.” It also mentioned the people who purchased the tickets will be refunded automatically. 

There might be chances that the actor may be heading for rehab again, as he checked in at rehab earlier this year in June. The SNL performer has struggled with PTSD and borderline personality disorder and has also been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the age of around 17 or 18.

Earlier this year, in June, Pete Davidson entered into rehab to treat issues related to Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and borderline personality disorder. His admission into rehab was followed by the event where the actor was asked to apologize to the head of the animal charity PETA for speaking offensively. In the same month, Davidson was also charged with unheeding driving and crashing his Mercedes into a house in Beverly Hills. (Source: Page Six)

According to People, during his standup after checking out from rehab, Davidson said that he took Ketamine regularly for four years and said, “It was magical.” Joking about the drug’s ability, he added, “One time, I got The Wiggles to mesh with Schindler’s List.” The King of Staten Island star confessed that he went to Aretha Franklin’s funeral while high and fins it unbelievable as the actor had never done that before.

Ketamine is a drug used medically for the induction of anaesthesia, which is used to treat depression. It also acts as a pain management tool and as a recreational drug.

In the following year, in 2020, he co-wrote and acted in The King of Staten Island, the semi-autobiographical comedy-drama film. He currently appears in comedy- television drama, streaming on Peacock.
