Popular John Krasinski Series Fails to Make it to Top 5 in Amazon Prime Year-end Rankings- WHO is #1?
John Krasinski, who is popularly known for portraying Jim Halpert on the NBC sitcom The Office, is regarded as one of the most talented actors in the entertainment business. Krasinski has also successfully managed to venture into writing and directing, along with acting.
The actor not only stars as Jack Ryan in Amazon Prime Video’s political thriller series of the same name but also serves as the executive producer of the show. The show is also known as Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan as the characters on the show are created from the fictional Ryanverse; created by Tom Clancy. The series was one of the most appreciated ones of recent times but failed to make it to the top 5 of Amazon Prime’s Year-end series. Who is number one? Let’s find out.

Alan Ritchson’s Reacher beats John Krasinski’s Jack Ryan for #1 spot on Prime Video’s year-end list
According to Television Stats, Alan Ritchson’s Reacher has managed to take the first spot in Amazon Prime’s year-end series list. Reacher is an action crime series based on the Jack Reacher book series by Lee Child. Season two was based on Bad Luck and Trouble, which is the 11th book in Child’s series.
Actor Alan Ritchson who plays the lead character on the show, said the following about his role during an interview with The Associated Press, via ABC News;
“He’s socially awkward, very stoic, very cerebral and none of those things should make for an interesting character. As I play Reacher, I swear there’s not one scene where I feel like, ‘That was the most interesting scene of all TV’. And then like the director Sam Hill will come out, ‘It was so good! Oh, it’s so muscular and it was so full and like, it was right there, and we could feel it coming out of your pores.’”
The character is a former U.S. Army officer who travels the country with just a toothbrush and wants no attachments or possessions. In his adventures, he often meets different people. Actress Serinda Swan, who plays Karla Dixon, says that the audience will soon get used to Reacher interacting with entirely new people each season.
The actor noted that he has read the books, just like a range of other people who were involved in the making of the show. He added that everyone wants their favorite characters from the books to come to life on-screen. The positive reviews and the audience’s desire to know more about Reacher make it one of the top shows of 2023.
John Krasinski on saying goodbye to Jack Ryan
John Krasinksi, who brought his character Jack Ryan’s journey to an end earlier this year, described the experience as surreal. The character has been portrayed by actors Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck in different films. Ahead of the release of the final season, Krasinski spoke to The Associated Press and expressed his gratitude
John Krasinski via the USA Today said,
“It has been an unbelievable honor to play the character. I’m not sure if my 15-year-old self has reconciled with even having this opportunity. It was beyond overwhelming and surreal. I loved all these movies and performances.”
He continued,
“Growing up, Jack Ryan was bigger than Batman in my house. Especially the early movies. Those were my comic books- I was obsessed. I got to be placed in a different world than these other incredible actors who have played Jack Ryan. You get to know Jack Ryan as well as in the books. That is what I’m most proud of.”
When asked about the decision to bring Jack Ryan’s story to an end, the actor explained that everyone who has worked on the show has been in the business for a long time. This meant that all of them knew exactly when it was the right time to conclude the series. Hence, the showrunners alongside the entire team thought that it was time to finally bring the story to an end.
Other shows that made it to the list include The Boys, Invincible, The Wheel of Time, Gen V, Jack Ryan, Rings of Power, Demon Slayer, Vikings, and The Expanse.
